AFCDF/IAFF 2007 Partnership with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
AFCDF and IAFF Local 2007 are proud to announce a new partnership with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Direct Connect program. As the first partnership of its kind in the state of New York, we aim to assist many of the professionals in the area through some of their most difficult days.
This collaboration ensures that any Albany Professional Firefighter, or other nearby local IAFF firefighters, diagnosed with an occupational cancer will have fast, coordinated access to Dana-Farber’s leading cancer specialists and resources.
From the start, our foundation’s mission has been to provide members with direct support when facing a cancer diagnosis. This partnership is an important step in making sure no firefighter goes through this process alone.
